Privacy policy
1. Person in charge of personal information
Lino Perretta, financial security advisor, who operates the TourCan Travel Insurance website, 4605 Lapinière Blvd., Suite 350, Brossard, Quebec J4Z 3T5, 450-231-2355. For any question or request: quote@tourcanvoyage.ca.
2. Information we collect
When you request a quote, we collect: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, trip type, destination or home country, school (students), dates, number of travellers, the oldest traveller's age, and your answers to the quick check (18 or older, pre-existing medical condition that requires medication). We do not ask for medical details on this site; those are handled directly with your advisor.
3. Why we use it
- To prepare your quote and direct your request to an advisor licensed in Quebec;
- To contact you about that request.
We do not use your information for any other purpose and we do not sell it.
4. Who has access
Lino Perretta, who operates this site, and the licensed advisor your request is assigned to. That advisor may share the information needed with the chosen insurer and with Experior Financial Group Inc. to issue your policy. If you buy online through the Experior Travel button, your information is collected directly by Experior Travel under its own policy.
5. Where it is kept
Your request is sent by email. The site and email service are hosted by Namecheap, whose servers may be located outside Quebec. Before entrusting information outside Quebec, we assess that it receives adequate protection there, as required by Law 25.
6. How long
If no policy is purchased, we delete your request no later than 12 months after receiving it. If a policy is purchased, your file is kept by your advisor under the rules that apply to insurance representatives.
7. Your rights
You may at any time ask to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, by writing to the person in charge (section 1). You may also file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
8. Cookies and third-party services
This site uses no advertising cookies or tracking tools. It stores no information in your browser. Fonts are provided by Google Fonts, which sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
9. Confidentiality incidents
If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.
