Frequently asked questions

The most common questions.

My credit card already covers me. Do I need anything else?

Maybe not. Many cards cover 15 to 31 days, often with age limits, a low maximum or exclusions for pre-existing conditions. Please check the conditions, exclusions and restrictions that come with your credit card, or contact your card provider.

I'm travelling elsewhere in Canada. Does RAMQ cover me?

Only partly. RAMQ pays at Quebec rates. A doctor in another province can refuse your card, and ambulance, prescription drugs and repatriation are not covered.

My parents are coming from Cameroon (or Côte d'Ivoire, Tunisia…). Can you insure them?

Yes. As the host living in Quebec, you can buy visitor or Super Visa coverage for them. Ideally, do it before they leave and before the visa application.

When you click "Get my quote", an email notification is sent to Lino Perretta, a financial security advisor licensed by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in Quebec. During periods of high demand, your request may be assigned to another licensed advisor working with Lino Perretta. The advisor who takes your file advises you, sends you your quote and remains your contact afterward, including at renewal. If it is another advisor, they share a fixed 25% of their commission with Lino Perretta. This does not increase your premium.
